Westjet:
WS New U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations

        Effective October 28, 2024, a series of
new U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations are in effect.
The rules aim to provide travellers with clearer, enhanced refund
options in situations where their flight is disrupted or their baggage
        is mishandled.

        Beginning October 28, all WestJet
transborder flights to and from the U.S. will be subject to new refund
rules for tickets, delayed baggage and ancillary fees. These changes
apply to segments booked on a single ticket or itinerary to or from the
U.S., which may include a connection or stopover of 24 hours or less on
        WestJet, partner and non-partner airlines.

For more details on the flight
disruption criteria that make a ticket eligible for a refund as per the
DOT, please visit our dedicated page on westjet.com or the U.S. Department of Transportation page.
